Forge PowerShell

One command to get started

forge create react --name my-app --typescript --with test
  1. Check Node.js and npm
  2. Create the React project
  3. Install and configure dependencies
  4. Run tests and validate the build
A working foundation. Ready for what you want to build.
Example workflow with TypeScript and testing selected.

A deliberate starting point

Less setup between you and your first feature.

A new project involves more than generating files. Tools need to be present, dependencies need to be installed, and the result needs to build.

Forge brings those steps together around Vite and the Next.js generator, with selected dependency versions and optional tools configured for the project.

The workflow

From an empty folder to a validated project.

Choose your project type, language, and optional tools. Forge handles the preparation and checks the result.

  1. Check the tools

Check Node.js and npm before starting. If Node.js needs to be installed or updated, Forge asks before proceeding.

  2. Create the project

Generate a React or Next.js application in your chosen location, with JavaScript or TypeScript.

  3. Prepare the workspace

Install dependencies through npm and configure the optional tools you selected for the project.

  4. Validate the result

Run configured tests when selected, then check the production build before reporting success.

Your existing work stays yours: Forge refuses to overwrite an existing project directory.
